it has been a while...

update on zebra.......

The summer has been passing, i'm not a hot weather person, i am a summer fruit person, so it cancels it's self out in good and bad. i am a fall/winter spring. and, i have been working! and have some pictures too.

i wanted to come up with a couple of pieces that would be available for sale thru the New Orleans office, if they in fact want to sell any pieces that way, or thru a website, to have some money coming thru before September 2009, the big deadline for the silent auction. We have some beautiful pieces that have been designed for Zebra, that should do really well and perfect for a silent auction, that i hope will be quite loud.

the pieces i have been working on are smaller, but i think great... this first is done is sterling silver frame with fine silver crocheted base, and hand made roses. i purchased the roses from ebay, they are just lovely. i make roses, but i couldn't resist these. i show this on an onyx bead necklace, but i think they will hang from a rubber cord, looks like a band of velvet. i also made one in 14kgold fill wire with black roses/accent rosebuds

and there are another couple i have in the works but not taken pictures of as yet. There is a Zebra Stone, a beautiful black and white stone, and i found gemstone beads as well. and i found pink with black, rhodonite stone, some flat disc's, there are some beautiful faceted pink topaz, and the cutter i like in Thiland, said he can get me this fantastic verigated stone, almost like this next picture. this was one of my birthday gifts this year, Jon told me to hit ebay...so i did. i'm ever so shy you know.

this stone is wonderful, springtime quartz.... i paired it with a necklace i did in a teal bead crocheted in 14kgold fill wire. i wire wrapped this one, and another one. and i found more verigated, a to die for amethyst to clear... a couple amatrine...but the cutter said he thinks he can find pink to clear. perfect for Zebras!
